Lewandowski Still Expects to Perform at Camp Nou
Munich – Injuries to Robert Lewandowski in the semifinals of the DFB-Pokal make it doubtful for the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Barcelona. But Lewandowski is hoping to get off at the Camp Nou.
Lewandowski got injured while playing for Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal semi-final match against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday (29/04/2015) pm dawn. Polish striker was having problems after colliding with goalkeeper Dortmund, Mitch Langerak, in the final minutes of extra time.
Lewandowski was lying on the ground. But he ultimately remained full play to half of extra time runs out though then not included in the penalties.
After the match, Bayern confirmed that Lewandowski was taken to hospital. The striker, who already had 23 goals in all competitions was believed to have suffered a concussion.
On Wednesday (29/04/2015) local time, Bayern confirmed that Lewandowski had a concussion plus fractured nose and upper jaw. But how long Lewandowski to be pulled remain unclear because waiting further examination.
As a result, Lewandowski participation in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Barca on Wednesday (05/06/2015) future, a question mark. But Lewandowski still hoping to appear in a match that will be held at the Nou Camp.
“A few days to the match at the Camp Nou. I really hope I can play!” Lewandowski wrote in his Twitter account.
Face Barca, Bayern will certainly be without Arjen Robben. Dutch winger should have ended the season faster due to a calf injury.
